Terms of Use

Last updated: 22 October 2026

In short: you're welcome to use our charts to practise, teach and perform. Please don't copy, share or republish them. The app is in a pilot, so it may change, have mistakes or stop working for a while.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to the Bollywood Music Chords app and website (the "Service"), run by Sagar Jilka in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

2. The pilot

The Service is currently a pilot, shared by invitation through TestFlight and Google Play testing. During the pilot:

We'll ask for your feedback, and we're grateful for it. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we can use them to improve the Service without owing you anything.

3. Your account

You must be at least 13 to use the Service. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; your account is for you only. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

4. Our charts and what you can do with them

The chord charts, arrangements, layouts and software in the Service are created by us and our contributors and are protected by copyright. The underlying songs, melodies and lyrics belong to their composers, lyricists and publishers. We don't claim ownership of them.

While you have access, you may view the charts in the app for your own practice, teaching and performance, including playing from them at gigs and rehearsals.

You must not:

5. Accuracy

We work hard to make the charts accurate, but they are arrangements made by musicians and may differ from the original recordings or contain errors. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.

Your own versions and suggestions. You can change chords and add notes in your own copy of a chart. Your copy is private to you, and our charts stay as they are. If you send us a suggested correction, you agree that we may use it to change our charts for everyone, without payment or credit. We decide which suggestions to accept.

Charts you write. You can write or import your own charts on the My charts pages and use them in the app. They stay yours, and you give us permission to store them and show them to you and to players in band sessions you run. You're responsible for what you upload: only add charts you have the right to use, and type chords and short cues rather than full song lyrics. If someone tells us a chart breaks their rights, or a chart breaks these terms, we may remove it. To report a chart, email sagarjilka@gmail.com.

My charts is part of our paid plan. During the pilot it's free for pilot testers.

6. Ending your access

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see Support). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we need to for legal or security reasons, or when the pilot ends.

7. Our responsibility to you

The pilot is provided free and "as is". As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will be error-free, always available or suitable for a particular purpose. We aren't responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, or for business losses.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, you also have legal rights that these terms don't affect.

8. App stores

If you get the app through Apple or Google, their terms also apply to your use of their stores and testing services. These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, and we, not they, are responsible for the app and its content. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms against you as third-party beneficiaries.

9. Changes

We may update these terms, for example when the pilot ends or paid plans start. We'll update the date at the top and tell you in the app or by email about important changes. If you keep using the Service after a change, the new terms apply.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes will be dealt with by its courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
